– Strange yokes represent a pattern of affliction that does not respond to natural intervention (Matt 22:25-27) (Luke 13:11)
– Being a church goer does not necessarily mean one cannot be under a strange yoke (Luke 13:18)
– Yokes can be set up by secret family covenants (idol sacrifices, rituals, strange traditions, witch doctor visit)
– Ungodly actions with another person can bring a strange yoke over you (Matt 19:12) – (Wrong sexual practices)
– Yokes make people destroy their future (Mark 5:2-6)
√ Bound to dead works (Rom 8:13) (Gal 5:19-21) – inability to avoid sin
√ Cannot submit to any authority
√ Confined in pit of emotional distress
√ Engaged in self destruction (alcohol, drugs, pornography, secret sins)
