God needs 3 things from His flock;
1. They hear the Lord
√ You will see their actions (Matt 7:24)
√ There will be fruit (John 15:1-2)
√ Stability in the face of challenges
√ They grow in faith (Rom 10:17)
2. The Lord knows them
√ Through you, others learn to follow the Lord (Gen 18:19)
√ God has confidence in them (Rom 11:4)
√ They will be rewarded (Matt 25:21)
3. They follow
√ The shepherd counts on them (1 Cor 11:1) (2 Tim 1:15-18)
CHARACTERISTICS OF CHRIST’S MEMBERS (1 Cor 12:27)(Acts 20:28-29) (Luke 2:8) (Heb 13:17)
1. They are consistent (Mark 1:35-36) (Mark 3:14)
√ Spiritual mentors are not for hire; it’s relational (Phil 1:10) (Gal 4:19)
2. They are Christ – centered & Christ – like (Acts 11:26)
√ They are Word – survy (Acts 17:11)
√ They attend to the business of corporate prayer (Luke 1:10) (Acts 3:1)
3. They focus on church unity (Acts 2:46-47) (Ps 133:1)
4. They support God’s Work;
√ Pray (1 Thess 5:25) (Col 4:3)
√ With your substance (Luke 8:2-3) (Prov 3:9)
√ Encourage your pastor (Early attendance, Speak good words) (Matt 21:46) (Heb 4:2)
√ Through evangelism (John 4:29) (Mark 5:20)
